Did you know that the Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been designated as GivingTuesday? GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

There are different ways to be a part of the GivingTuesday movement:

1. Students can write a thank you note to their teachers

2. Give the gift of compliments - encourage another student

3. Make a donation that will allow BHMS Athletics & Booster Club to support our P.E. department, student clubs, and school athletics program

  • Donate at https://www.bretharteathletics.org/support-us

  • Many employers will match donations during GivingTuesday campaigns

  • For those using Benevity or other corporate matching programs, we are listed as Bret Harte Educational Association. Please designate Bret Harte Booster Club in a memo line.

Currently, we are only one-third of our way toward our Donation Drive goal this year. Without our Bronco community's support, we will not be able to spend $12,000 yearly for the P.E. Department, fund dozens of student club advisors, and support our athletic programs.

Insufficient funds may lead to less clubs and decreased sports teams. Last year, Booster Club spent $24,500 to add padding all around the mat room. This coming year, we are looking to replace cardio room equipment, and eventually refresh equipment in the weight room. We hope you can help us continue to support our Broncos!

The Bret Harte Athletics & Booster Club (BHBC) provides academic, social, and athletic benefits to all students through your generous donations and participation in our annual fundraising events. Nearly 800 students directly participate in a Booster Club activity every year.

Your donation will help BHBC fund nearly 20 athletic teams (e.g., uniforms, tournament fees, referee stipends, etc.) and more than a dozen extra-curricular student clubs. Additionally, BHBC supports the Bret Harte P.E. Department by providing sports equipment and funding infrastructure improvements for all students to use. Each year, BHBC spends nearly $12,000 to meet our P.E. Department's needs.

Please consider supporting BHBC by making a tax deductible donation* today! Many employers, such as Apple, Google, Facebook, etc., will match donations. Please inquire with your employer if they will help maximize your donation.

Donations can be made several ways:

  • Check (make payable to Bret Harte Booster Club) and deliver to Student Services at school
