2026-2027 Student Interest Clubs
Any Bret Harte Middle School students interested in starting a club may submit a Club Application. The deadline to submit an application has passed. The submitted applications will be reviewed by the district and school administration. Approved student clubs will be contacted by the school administration for next steps.
Visit the 2026-2027 Clubs page for a list of this current year's student clubs with meeting days, times, locations and advisor info. Information is provided by school administration and are subject to change. Please contact BHMS Student Services, if there are any discrepancies.
Student Club advisor stipends are funded by Bret Harte Athletics and Booster Club. Please consider a donation to help us continue to fund these kinds of programs.

Advised by a teacher

Have only current students as members

Follow all school rules and regulations
You will need the following to proceed with a request to form a school club:

Your name and student ID
-
Name of the proposed club
-
Purpose of the proposed club
-
Name of the teacher that has already agreed to advise the club
-
"@sjusd.org" email address of the teacher that has already agreed to advise the club
-
Whether or not the proposed club will be working with an outside group
-
Whether or not the proposed club will need an ASB financial account
-
Names and student numbers of at least two student contacts

Once student clubs are approved by the school administration, they will announce a Club Fair Day, where students can find out more about the clubs and how to join.
